Adult Education
Welcome to the Adult Education Department. Our program is designed for adults who have different needs, backgrounds, and skill levels. We provide a full range of services for adults who need to acquire or
improve basic reading, math, and/or written communication skills in order to prepare them to enter and succeed in the workplace or postsecondary educational programs.
Adult education classes taught at NGTC are free of charge to adults 16 years and older.
The program is flexible with many levels of instruction to accommodate the student’s needs. Instruction is available in basic skills, GED ® Test preparation, EL/Civics, English as a
Second Language, and ASSET and Compass Test preparation. There is no charge for books or materials used in adult education classes.
